Graphic design: Responsible for a variety of tasks, including: full cover conception and design, typesetting, and photo illustrating. Work through rigorous approval process with editors, publisher and author to arrive at final design.  

Production Artist: Responsibilities include photo retouching, manipulation and color correction, preflighting and prepping files for print, deciding on effective finishing treatments, and interior page flow and design. 

Additional responsibilities: Oversee training of design interns, complete various design tasks for marketing and publicity departments.

Oversaw every aspect of layout of up to four 16-20 page community newspapers weekly. Worked with editorial staff to produce a great deal of content under tight deadlines. Handled troubleshooting of printing issues. Oversaw hiring of additional design staff members.
